The tattoo on my ankle is starting to wear off. Tattoo as in black and green and blue sharpie, created on New Year’s Eve. It’s an elaborate, henna-inspired eye. It’s watching me to see if I fulfill my 15 New Years Resolutions. I was glad D had a bunch of multi-colored Sharpies. I just love having lots of colored, high-quality pens that bleed ink at the touch. I want to eat the color. :-O But I’m avoiding the real matters…Okay.
So I am beginning this blog as an ultimatum of sorts that’s a bit complicated to explain. Basically, with fresh starts comes new things. I am really going to try an update this thing regularly. New Years Eve was welcomed in watching a mysterious channel that is constantly focused on the Seattle skyline, drinking IZ from plastic wine glasses, and munching on those cranberry bars from Starbucks. Thanks, D! It was really a swell time of being resolute and watching fireworks in the distance. Oh, yeah—it involved tea, too. Tea for two! Several revelations. Lots of flip-flopping feelings. But nonetheless, a happy way to usher in the new year.
I can’t say the same for the 1st. It was a thoroughly horrible day, and I thought I’d try again on the 2nd. The 2nd was filled with friends and friends and more friends, overwhelming joint hopping—Starbucks, Forza, Coldstone… emotionally draining. I felt dead.
The next day began at the doctor and ended with me listening to the ‘Juno’ soundtrack, having coursed through all the normal suicidal, neurotic moods you could imagine. My poor parents. My poor friends. Thanks J. You say just the right things…
Today was much better. Good nights sleep. Hours spent in Forza doing scholarship stuff. Hopped over to Oasis to have a nice chat with L. Ugh! I thought I would be clever and refer to people with their initial as to protect their privacy, and mine, and I realized I sound like the creepy voice from Gossip Girl. Like, “So long, S (insert clever, scandalous, biting line here). Until next time, XO, XO.” That show is so addicting, though… So, here’s to The New Year! 2008! Yay. (Oh, and this thing was supposed to have paragraphs and such in it, but they won’t show up. It’s disappointing.)
The fact that you watch Gossip Girl makes me feel better about watching it. At least one intelligent person does, haha. I just read all your blogs and thoroughly enjoyed them.
